Graduation
Graduation is not automatic once program requirements are complete.
The following steps outline the graduation process from application to convocation:
- Apply to Graduate: Each student must submit an application to graduate, regardless of whether or not they plan to attend convocation. See kpu.ca/graduation for more information.
- Complete Program Requirements: The student must complete all requirements as set by Senate for their credential. The Office of the Registrar reviews and confirms all requirements are met.
- Senate Conferral: The credential is formally conferred by Senate.
- Graduation Roll: Once the credential is conferred, the student's name, program, and any distinctions (such as With Distinction) will appear on the official online graduation roll.
- Convocation Invitation: Students who complete their credential in the Summer or Fall terms will be invited to the February convocation. Students who complete their credential in the Spring term will be invited to the June convocation.
