Certificate in Computer Aided Design and Drafting


The Computer Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) Certificate program is designed to develop and enhance practical skills; increasing students' knowledge for a successful CADD career. 

Students may not enter directly into the certificate program. Students must apply to the Diploma program and may exit early and receive the Certificate.

Admission Requirements

Students pursuing the Certificate in Computer Aided Design and Drafting must be admitted to the Computer Aided Design & Drafting, Specialization in Architectural and Mechanical or Computer Aided Design & Drafting, Specialization in Architectural and Structural Diploma program.

Curricular Requirements

The Certificate in CADD requires 32 credits

Select 12 credits from courses in CADD at the 1100 level12

CADA 1250Introduction to Building Information Modeling (BIM) Software for Architectural4
Select 8 credits of either Mechanical or Structural:8
Process Piping
3 Dimensional (3D) Parametric Solids Modeling Software
Introduction to Structural Drafting and Concrete
Introduction to Building Information Modeling (BIM) for Structural

Credential Awarded

Upon successful completion of this program, students are eligible to receive a Certificate in Computer Aided Design and Drafting.
