Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology

Description

The Associate Degree is designed to provide an educational experience that prepares students for work, citizenship, and an enriched life as an educated person, and to lay a solid foundation for further study in the field of Psychology.

Students with an Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology who are interested in continuing their degree studies at KPU can pursue the Bachelor of  Arts, Major in Human Behaviour and Applied Psychology degree, a Bachelor of Arts, Major in Psychology degree, a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology degree, or a Minor in Psychology when combined with another bachelor’s degree program. Admission Requirements

The Faculty's Admission Requirements, which consist of KPU's undergraduate English Proficiency Requirement, apply to this program.

Curricular Requirements

Within the framework of the Associate of Arts Degree, students must complete at least 60 credits with a minimum grade of C in each course, including the following courses.

Note: Students that are considering completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, or a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Behaviour and Applied Psychology will be able to transition into these degrees. Students wishing to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Psychology should consult the curricular requirements for this program.

Credential Awarded

Upon successful completion of this program, students are eligible to receive an Associate of Arts degree in Psychology.
