Introduction to Professional Communication for Internationally Educated Nurses (PCIEN)  
Introduction to Professional Communication for Internationally Educated Nurses (PCIEN) is a performance-based course designed to assist internationally educated nurses improve communication skills for the healthcare workplace. Students will apply person-family-centred strategies for interacting with patients, expand health and idiomatic vocabulary, increase cultural understanding, and improve writing skills for the Canadian healthcare system. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be better prepared for the next steps in the licensure process.
